What follows is offered in response to Velvet Verbosity's 100 Word Challenge. The challenge, this week, is "Anonymous".
Dr. Morgan approached the metal table on which the latest traveler through his domain lay, his hands gloved, his shield over his face protecting his eyes, nose and mouth from spatter.
He unzipped the long black bag that held the body and pulled it out from under the corpse. Then he carefully cut the clothing - the nondescript, unkempt clothing the man wore - away from his body until he was, finally, naked and pale under the bright overhead medical lamp.
Bruises. Everywhere. Hit by a car down on skid row. Another anonymous victim of our love affair with drinking and driving.
