What follows is offered in response to Velvet Verbosity's 100 Word Challenge. The challenge, this week, is "Bough".
The Gorp sat on a bough of the Blue Perack tree, considering the object that had descended out of the bright orange sky three cycles ago.
Whatever it was, it was made of metal. The Gorp could smell it and the Gorp was hungry.
Parts of the object would open and things would pop out, then disappear within. But the noises inside were the most intriguing. So the Gorp waited.
A panel opened and a creature stepped out. Gorp could smell Iron!!! Rare iron!!!
Losing control, Gorp doused the creature and then sucked up the red, soupy liquid.
Tasted good.
