Monday Meanders

The weekend was cool and dreary - perfect for spending as much time as possible indoors.

So I did laundry.  Lots of laundry.  I learned what gets done cool/cold as opposed to cold/cold.  I learned how to set things on the dryer Properly.  I learned that you don't use dryer sheets on towels.  Yes.  I am a god.

I cleaned the bedroom.  When you live in a "smallish" house, with "smallish" rooms, those rooms get to be cluttered easily, so keeping things uncluttered is really important.  When they do get cluttered, and they do and will, sometimes you just have to buckle up and jump in there and set things right.  Yes.  I am a god.

Bears lost.  Again.  Being a Bears fan is starting to feel a lot like being a Cubs fan.  The refrain "Wait Until Next Year" begins to ring in my head.

I went to the Library on Saturday.  1st time in a long time.  Renewed my card.  Checked out a book - and a DVD.  Saw an old friend who was manning (womaning?) the checkout desk.  Saw another old friend with whom I worked coaching U10 Soccer ( remembered his face but not his name - I guess I'm not as much of a god as I thought).

Note that any claim to godhood is in lower case - I am not competing with the guy with the big 'G'.

Ndinombethe.

Good to know that you can teach an old dog new tricks. Not that you're an old dog or old or a dog even. Happy Monday!
