I wonder how many people allowed themselves to be swayed by the Presidential Debate? In my mind, decisions need to be made in an examination of the larger context - and nothing I saw in the Debate addressed real issues in that larger context.
Our recent long weekend in Providence, RI, was relaxing - but busy. We went to Mystic, CT, to have lunch at Mystic Pizza.
We went to Newport and drove along to shore to gape at all the mansions and nearby we found a windmill built in 1787 and the third oldest lighthouse in the United States. I have pictures of all of the above.
I drove to Boston and saw the Constitution - "Old Ironsides" - and took many pictures. There was also a destroyer in drydock and the Nantucket Lightship was in port, as well. I took pictures.
We did some exploring of out of the way places in Providence - and took pictures.
We attended "WaterFire Providence", a living sculpture in Fire, Water, Music and Performance Art. It was unlike anything I have ever seen before. It will be a long time before I ever see anything, again, more original, impressive, or as unforgettable.
Over the next week or so i will publish more of hte pictures I took on our trip. I'll try not to bore you.
Ndinombethe.
