Monday Meanders

Once upon a time, I owned a big, noisy motorcycle.  My two older sons thought it was cool, but my youngest son - the young man with ADD, Aspergers and Childhood Anxiety Disorder - would never consider riding as a passenger on my cycle.

I'm pretty sure it had a lot to do with the noise, although a big Honda V-twin is nowhere near as noisy as a Harley.  But, like I said, whenever I asked if he wanted to go for a ride, the answer was no.

Yesterday, #3 and I had somewhere to go, together, and I askd him if he'd let me take him on my scooter.  Well, let's just say that the COOT SCOOT WINS!!.

One more new element in his overall life experience.  YES!!

Grannie came home last Friday evening and, of course, it was sooner than we expected so the last weekend was spent getting things up to snuff, put away, and organized for her.  But she's home now and snug as a bug in the rug.  Now all we need to do is get her stronger and we've got it licked.

Soon it will be the 1st Tuesday of November.  Vote.  Get out and vote.  You can't complain about the way things are going if you didn't add your voice at election time.

I asked my son if he'd ever get a motorcycle. He said the only reason he would was as a collector, but he wouldn't ride it. I'm the one wanting to get a Harley. Maybe it's a Coming of Age thing.
