Haiku Friday

Haiku Friday

Life's pace never slows
In fact, it seems to quicken
For those of an age.

"those of an age" is a gentle way of saying "we who have achieved a certain physical maturity". Research has been done which actually shows that the perception of the passage of time quickens as one ages. It is the ultimate irony that that which we would delay as much as possible approaches us ever quicker in the end.

Mark agrees "in principle" . . . but I am right there with ya, Lou. Getting "of an age" is not for weaklings. sigh.
