Check-in time at the Americano, here in Daytona, is 4pm on Saturday. We got to the hotel/resort/time share at 5:30pm and then we went out for dinner. We didn't get to the rooms until about 9:30pm. Dinner was something of a disaster - but we had gone to another spot in Daytona for dinner. Not at the resort.
The facility is older, and shows signs of that age. That said, the units ARE very nice, the view of the ocean is amazing, and we have to make sure that the drapes are closed at night so that lights from the facility don't confuse turtle hatch-lings who need to make it to the sea - and not the lobby.
Anyway, today I'll begin taking pictures and getting around Daytona to learn the lay of the land. You may even see some tomorrow.
We'll see.

That beach looked beautiful. Hard to imagine them racing there, isn't it? Is it scorching hot down there?
