On the Eve of 2012

Today is New Year's Eve. Obvious, I know. But in stating the obvious I wish to point out that many people use this day to look back on the things that have happened in the last 365 days. The good. The bad. The etc.

My preference is to look forward, to the future.

I have no idea what this year will bring. Oh, there are some things which are relatively certain: I will work. I will blog. LM (Love Muffin) and I will go through this coming year together, just as we have gone through the previous 35.

I will write. Gwalchmei will start showing up in this space on weekends, starting with the first full weekend in the New Year. There was a recent episode of his that I had fun writing - I'm not sure anyone else read it. I will link it into the list of his episodes sometime today. Chapter 3, Part 1 - just in case you missed it.

I will photograph. Once a day - every day - for the next year - at least one new photograph, taken with the new camera I got for Christmas. A Canon 60D.

I will meet new people. Who? I have no idea. That's part of what makes the coming year so exciting.

Tomorrow, the first day of the new year, will be the 5th January 1st in a row that I have posted on the day. On January 1st of 2008, I started into Blog365 - blogging every day for one lap around the Sun. I did it. I never stopped. I have blogged every day since. This coming year will be a whole year of 5th's.

And that's just cool.

Happy New Year. Be safe. Don't drink and drive - don't ride with a drinker. I want ALL of you alive and well (perhaps a bit hungover) tomorrow. It starts a whole new year together.
