Get UP, Lazybones

It's Saturday morning and I do NOT want to get out of bed - but I hate it when I 'sleep in' because then so much of the day is gone and weekend days are too short to begin with. On top of that, it is cloudy and dreary out there - and that just makes me want to slide back under all those nice, warm blankies I sleep under (three thin ones and one HUGE comforter) and stay there.

Hmmm. The horns of a dilemma.

On the other hand, I guess I should go downstairs and make an omelet or 3 minute eggs for Grannie - she looks forward to weekends because there's a chance I'll make her breakfast. I boil a mean egg. I make a pretty good omelet, too.

I guess I should get up now. So I'm gonna hit "publish" and get started on my day. Have a good one, y'all. You KNOW I will.

I sometimes get 'stuck' like that... wake up and don't feel like getting started because after a busy week it feels so good to just lay there...

... do you sprinkle salt in the water to make the shell peels easily when you have finished boiling your egg..?

Today was my day for my weekly long run so I was excited to see sun and 50 degrees which is great for running. I jumped up and went to run on the wide sidewalk along the sea. Lots of folks were running/walking/biking so it felt extra good to be part of it all. Thanks for the chance to relive it!
p.s. I told you you're a good son.

Sometime sleeping in (and what's up with that phrase? As opposed to what, sleeping out?) is just what the doctor ordered. So to speak.

I have the same sorts of dilemmas. I enjoy snuggling under my duvet far too much, but if I sleep in, I feel guilty for wasting valuable time. I need to be productive to feel cheery!
