What follows is in response to the 100 Word Challenge, authored by the nocent Velvet Verbosity. The word this week is "Harmless".
besotted, as they are
with the love and longing
that is you
Visions of you fill my head
bewitched as I am
by the love and longing
that is you
The dreams of the night
devote themselves to you
filled with the love and longing
that is you
What spell is this you've cast on me?
What witchery is this that shrouds my mind?
Where comes this love and longing
that is you?
Nay, it is not you
who has cast the spell
I cannot blame, I hold you harmless
love, that is you

I love the repeating lines
love the angst
love the person, the love - that is you.
very nice - thanks for sharing.
you're a true romantic... love what you've created here.
That was just awesome. Very nice job this week!
Really nice, Lou.
Lou, this was nice, but you have GOT TO stop worshiping me. Your poor, poor wife...
;)
Loved this.
I love the sing-song way that the words roll around the brain. And...it appears that you wear us well.
Such a passionate and powerful plea... beautifully written.
Great poem. In my mind it speaks to a sweeping and epic love that is not only felt but returned as it boucnce infinitely between two hearts.
Ah poetry. Well done.
I love this. The kind of love you wrote about is hard to find. When you do find it, you never let it go.
Been there, felt that...great job!!!
Aw. Such a romantic you are. :)
