Actually, for once I see the story, or this element of it anyway, quite clearly. And I don't like it. And I don't want to write it. I don't even want to write it and go back and re-write it later, which I have done in the past.
I'm going to give it a day and see if maybe I can't take it in a different direction. I hope so. But, if not, I will write this tomorrow. And I won't be very happy about it.

Oh, Lou. I know that feeling so very intimately. But, yes. Sitting on it will make things better. When we stop thinking about something so intently, it seems it stops wanting to ignore us.

Sounds like your best friends are heading off into some trouble and not only can you not talk them out of going, you can't go with them to help them even if that made sense to you.
Take your time. The way will come. It always does.
