Whose Day? Tuesday. And Da Bears.

I almost never talk sports here. You'll have to forgive me, today.

What a game. The Bears won last night. Before the game, I thought sure they would lose. After the first quarter of the game, I was ready to turn the game off. For 3/4 of the second quarter, I saw nothing to change my mind. Suddenly, near the end of the first half, the Bears struck. Touchdown, and the score was 10 - 7. And the Bears looked good on that last drive in the first half.

And there was a glimmer of hope in the hearts of the fans.

The Packers had the ball for more than half of the third quarter, as it opened with a kickoff to them. But Bears' fans are used to half-time adjustments, and they were right to wait, patiently, for the Bears' turn to get the ball. They looked sharp. They protected Cutler. And there was a genuine feeling that the Bears could play with these guys. And they did.

In the end, the score was 20 - 17. Bears. No. Green Bay did NOT win. The Bears did. The Bears are back.

If they can beat Green Bay, a team with one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL, and some of the best receivers in the NFL, and one of the most vigorous defenses in the NFL, they can beat anybody.

After the disappointment of the Cubs and their baseball season this year, this feels good. Real good.

I am in such a good mood today. :)

I'm SO not interested in football anymore. A while back, I would've never guessed I would say such a thing.

But, in your honor, I think I will become an "honorary" Bears fan.

Just for you.

I am powerful. ;)

I have absolutely no comprehension whatsoever of NFL football. Rugby, ice hockey, field hockey, netball, lacrosse, three-day eventing - absolutely. But, I am very happy that you are happy!

Most excellent your team won, hon! I'm not a pro football fan. I'm more into rooting for the West Virginia University blue and gold!

Well, football doesn't do it for me, but the words "I am in such a good mood today" do. ;-)

(My Word Verification is "rantism." This ain't no rantism!)

And we lost another one today...horrible to watch, but at least not as bad as last week's game, with a record breaking number of penalties! Congrats---You earned it.
