This post is overdue.
It seems that Hockey, beer and good friends don't make for good blogging - or at least in my case, on time blogging.
Because in my case, we all know I post at Midnight.
Usually.
But like I said.
Beer. (MGD)
Good Friends. (Mark and his boys)
Hockey. (The Blackhawks)
It's been YEARS since I sat and watched a whole hockey game.
Old man Wirtz (now departed) ruined the game for me and many fans. Now that his son has inherited the team and rebuilt a winning franchise - and put the games back on local TV, where they should have been all along - the fans are back.
And so am I.
Yes, I'm a johnny-come-lately. I'll admit it. But I'm back nonetheless.

The Hawks are on their way, so I vote you keep watching in exactly the same manner you did last night. You might be their good luck charm! ;)

We only have a minor league team down here in FLA, but I do love a good hockey game.
hey, if you remember when Tony Espisito was in goal and watched him play, you qualify as a fan emeritus! That is how I feel about my membership as a Wing fan. Going back to Mickey Redmond as a player and Ted Lindsay and Bobby Kromm promising to bring aggressive hockey back in town', I can 'fair weather the Wings if I want!!
But I never will!!
Good owners mean something to good fans. It is a 2-way street. I watched the final period with my son and it was exciting. I was pulling for the Blackhawks, but please don't tell my son-in-law from Philly. : )
I don't believe that I've ever watched a hockey game save for the one in the Mighty Ducks movie. :)
