There exists a conundrum. Relativity and Quantum Mechanics don't seem to be able to co-exist. Each of them has a finite set of equations which make sense in the context of their own set of theories, but any effort to combine the equations into a single set, completely and consistently descriptive of the large (Relativity) and the small (Quantum Mechanics) fails. The answers are nonsense.
Science abhors 'nonsense'. Equations that result in 'infinity' are never acceptable when trying to describe a theory.
The answer lies ahead, in undiscovered wisdom.
Whose child will it be, that will find it?

I think math is the language of the universal constant. Numbers can be used to express so many larger ideas as well as reduce them to their simplest possible form.
Numbers stretch from the real to the impossible. Figuring out how they do so, is where the answer lies, I like to believe.

WHy does everyone (not just here, in the world at large, too) have so much dislike for math? I love math! I think it makes so much SENSE!!!
And, great question in the last line. Because, I believe, these theories will not be explained by the person who has studied the most, but by whomever has a gift for this type of systematic thought.

My husband (the math major) has been reading books struggling with these questions. He too is fascinated and hopeful. I'm rooting for my grandson to be the one to have the wisdom to find the answer!
Ah, the conundrum of the Unified Field Theory. You've got my brain watering, hon! My kid! It'll be my kid! (I can only hope...)
