Trouble in Antioch

I am having some difficulty with the story of Gwalchmei. He is in the Principality of Antioch, now. I have some conflicting information about what happened when - the REAL history, not Gwalchmei's story - and I want to present Gwalchmei in an accurate timeline. Even though the actions of the Crusaders were fairly well documented during the time our story is taking place, there are some ambiguities that keep cropping up - mostly in regards to the fall of Castle Gaston (formerly Baghras) at Antioch, and the activities of certain Templars in Antioch during this time.

I know what Gwalchmeu has to do here in Antioch. I know what Squire and Habeeb need to do as well. It's the people they need to interact with that are not behaving themselves. So until I establish a stronger timeline for the lives and activities of certain people in Antioch, Gwalchmei is going to have to wait.

I'm sorry. It won't take too long, I promise.

History is fuzzy around that time. We'll forgive you if you fudge a little, for the sake of a good story!

I haven't been following Gwalchmei as I do 'Sarah', I agree with Nan regarding putting together a historically accurate timeline.

What I would do (or think that I would like to do) is accept criticism on the inaccuracies and fold the corrections in my next book in the series and go from there! Loyal fans seem to accept the small fudges as long as the effort to be as accurate as possible without hurting the story is made!

No, I disagree. I think you have the right idea Lou. Take your time and check the history time line.

As for the elections in England, I think you gave a very good explanation of how their government works. Their "Senate" has no power and is called the House of Lords. If you do something really cool, they make you a lord. The English several centuries ago had what some historians call a Glorious and Bloodless Revolution. All power rests with the House of Commons and the party with the most seats or a coalition forms a government. The Queen has no power, she is like the ornament on the hood of a Rolls Royce.

Here's what I think is amazing- that you take that level of care in researching your story. You're awesome- hats off to you!
