There's a song in my head now!
And I am sure that this has happened on more than one occasion to a tomboy!! And they prolly had an uncle or an aunt sing that song when they heard the story of the tomcat's dive in her bikini!!
The Dad is mourning the loss of his buddy and unsure about the replacement in his buddy's skin. From throwing baseball's and going fishing, he has to realize that she is going to shop for more than jeans and a tee shirt, instead looking for cute tops and dresses that fall a little too short... not that they do, but on his buddy they are revealing...
...revealing that the time is coming for him to say, "Girl, you will be a woman soon," and she will be a memory of a different time.
Now there's a memory...Nope no plans to elaborate. (Hugs)Indigo
