From last time ...
You saw your friend murdered. They tried to do the same to you and your family. They would have - and they wouldn't even have given it a second thought. No - these are bad people, Sarah. Bad people. Now go get your clothes. I'm still hungry."
And now ...
Sarah and Jake were just finishing up their meal when the waitress turned up the radio behind the counter.
"... in a daring daylight robbery. The four armed robbers used stun grenades and explosive devices as they got away with an estimated half million dollars in cash. A spokesman for the casino said an elevator used to move cash from the casino floor to a strong room in the basement was disabled during the robbery, preventing casino employees from moving the cash beyond reach of the robbers. And in a strange twist to this story, the bodies of four men were found in an alley near the outskirts of town not an hour after the robbery. Police are certain they are the suspects who committed the robbery, but no money was recovered at the scene and no weapons or identification were found on any of the bodies. In other news, the Nevada State Gaming Commission, awarded four new gaming licenses today ..."
"Jake, did you hear that?"
"Yeah, I did. I guess I know what Sully wanted that stuff for. If it was him."
"It was him alright. Or at least he's behind it."
"How do you know?"
"I saw Sully coming out of the equipment room in the basement - where the stuff for the elevator is. I though he was lost, you know? There is a bathroom down there .. I thought he was looking for the john. I saw him and that night The Kid comes to kill me. Coincidence? I don't think so. Not after this."
"Well, it makes sense. If the cops talk to you, you tie Sully to the elevator and the whole Giamatti connection to this blows wide open. No wonder they wanted you dead."
"What do we do now, Jake? Chico knows who I am. He may not remember yet, but at some point or another he just might, and if he does, they're going to be coming after me. And you, maybe. And maybe even Ma. Who knows? I could get us ALL killed."
"Well, there's only one way around this. We have to get them before they get us."
"But Jake, I'm not ready."
"You're right. You're not. But I am."
"This isn't your fight, Jake. It's mine. I can't let you do this."
"You don't have any choice. But I'll tell you what. Why don't we make this OUR fight - at least until you're training is done. If we work together, we can take out the two sources of immediate danger, Chico and Sully. After that, we can finish your training and then your on your own. Waddya say?"
"Okay. Okay, Jake. That's 'Jake' with me."
"You didn't say that, did you?"
"Okay, I'm sorry. I won't say that again. So what do we do now?"
"Now? Now we get some sleep. We are going to be busy tomorrow."
"Sleep? Are you sure that's all you want to do is sleep, Jake?"
"No. I'm not. But we'd better not be up all night - that's all."
"Oh, don't worry, Jake. I don't think either one of us could last all night. Maybe you're right. Let's just go to sleep."
"Not on your life, sweetheart. We'll just play it by ear. Just know that tomorrow ... tomorrow we go on the offensive. Tomorrow we attack."

Sounds like 'something' is about to hit the fan. Can't wait for the next episode.
Oh my! I can't wait to read the next installment.
Cool! Can't wait to see how it goes down...
Tara R: Yup. She's taking me right to it, with, apparently, no stops along the way.
Joyce-Anne: Saturday, for sure.
Loraine: Me, too.
Go get em!
This is so good. I want to go back to the beginning and read the whole thing. I am putting it on my list of things to do tomorrow!
