He's ba-ack.

Old Man Winter seems to have returned to our climes. With a vengeance. Snow. Single digit wind chills. Overnight temps in the Zero range. It looks like our mid-January thaw has come to a rip roaring close and the nasty old man with the long and flowing beard has come back home to sit his thin old butt down on our lawns.

I am so ready for Winter to be done and over with.

I know - it's not proper English. Meh.

Our three car family is down to two for a while. We have a clunker in the family that refuses to die - but manages to break something on a far too regular basis. It's not feasible, yet, to replace it. Meh.

It's just that fixing that car in the current weather conditions is going to be miserable. Know anybody with a heated garage?

Of course, part of the impatience with Winter is the desire to get my big butt out on a golf course. I've been working on a new swing and I want to get it out and play with it. (My golf swing, perv.)

That was for the one or two who went that way.

I hope you're warm today.

Ndinombethe.

It's as cold in Belgium as it is in Chicago, but there is no snow here. It's -7° C this morning. I was dreaming of flowering plants to decorate the patio with but I guess it's WAY TOO SOON for that. I want color, I want flowers and bugs to photograph, and I'm counting the days, just like you! Meh.

I always feel like a wimp complaining about it being cold down south when friends live in areas with zeros in front of their temperatures. Try to stay warm, and not let the cold get you down.

This winter has been mentally exhausting for me; I don't know why because usually I don't mind it.

And then we had those two or three days of 40's last week, and now THIS. It's so annoying; I sometimes feel like spring will never arrive. Meh.

I have to wonder what part of the country you are in... the one episode that got me here, makes me think of the wide open ranges in west Oklahoma ...

Spring is on its way... but as I told the SFC, I have always felt that Februrary was indeed a month that lived up to its nickname of 'the cruelest month'.

Christmas is over, the novelty of snow has worn off. Stupid Old Man Winter!! *stomp*

Old man winter can just shove it. We haven't seen the sun yet this year and it's really depressing..

When does spring training start?

Air golf ain't nothing like the real thing. Trust me, your new swing will fail you. Good thought however. You need someone to actually look at your new swing and say, know what, that's stupid. The only way your "new" swing will work is if you hit 987 golf balls - a day, otherwise you might as well give up the game like I did b/c you're ticking off the guys behind you with your slow play - and I was a 6 handicap.

Wait. What? said...

You could always hit an indoor driving range if you need to badly enough, it may help get you through until the sun decidess to come up again.

I'll absorb a few Florida rays for you and send them north. Meantime, stay warm!

Hang in there.

I hear you. Yesterday was rain and green grass. Today it's been snowing intermittently and the forecast is calling for another two days of it. Have to agree with Mark February is arriving soon and she is indeed the cruelest of them all. (Hugs)Indigo

Cars that repeatedly break down are no fun, period. I hate when it happens to me and I don't get any pleasure about hearing it happen to you. We need our cars, and we need them to run!

Cha. It temporarily warmed up to -10 yesterday. It's back to -25 this morning- and no.... I don't play the 'windchill' factor game.

That's what the ole thermometer on the deck is reading, day in and day out for the last 3 weeks.

No garage here... my truck is leaking power steering fluid and I have two cold flats. Again. Spring? Ah... that will be in endo April, mate.

Keep yer chin up- it gets better. I think.

Wow, that sucks. Hopefully he doesn't fart on us again. That's about as close as he gets to us.

Stay warm....or come visit our state!

It's freezing here as well. I'm just hoping for a few pics outside for the wedding, but part of me is doubtful. *sigh*

SO SO COLD.
Hugs, my friend!

Oh, I hear you, my friend.

We had 24 hours of torrential rain, on top of the three feet of packed snow, and last night? A flash freeze.

Never mind, it appears that I might be moving somewhere warmer, MUCH warmer, quite soon.

I looked at the weather for Friday and it seems like it's going to have a low of 11.

I'm convinced that I need a second home... in AUSTRALIA.

This winter is KILLING ME with whiny children who have cabin fever. Until just the last year or so we played outside every day. I hate global warming... it's SO COLD.

I'm so with Hyphen Mama on the second home in Australia. Quite literally, I am cold from October to June. Seriously, I shouldn't complain but, enough of this winter already!

Wherefore art thou, Spring. We're gearing up for more snow this weekend. Lovely. (insert sarcasm)

I am right there with you waiting for Spring.

It's sunny here today....but so far from warm.

Oh the wind chill factor. I remember. It made my mother swear.

I won't tell you about the weather here.

We had a day or two of above average temps but it was too soggy to spend any time outdoors. I love winter, but i could definitely use some vitamin d about now.
