Monday Meanders 12-21

It's the Monday before Christmas and I'm home today. And tomorrow. And ... every day until the 28th. Cleaning. Housecleaning, to me, is like yardwork. And we all know how I feel about yardwork.

The Bears lost yesterday and looked pathetic doing it. When do pitchers and catchers report?

Not that the Cubs are going to make much of a splash this year, either. They traded one big salary for another big salary, so they're just as hamstrung in the 'Market' as they were perceived to be when they carried Bradley on the roster. The new deadweight is a pitcher named Sliva.

Christmas is coming and I'm starting to feel the tingle. I love it when I have all three of my sons around me - Christmas Eve and Christmas Day will be special this year, too. All three boys - and daughter-in-law, too. I love my Bitsy. She's my first DIL.

Happy Holidays, Everyone. Whatever bit of celebration there is for you in these days and times, I hope you find the intended spirit and love.

Ndinombethe.

I just finished two solid days of gleaming and cleaning..... it's referred to as 'bottoming' where I'm from, but I suspect that might have a slightly different meaning for you? And all in honour of my in-laws. Aren't they lucky?!

Merry Christmas, Lou!

You sound in a good mood, and I think that is the way you should be just before you start cleaning the house. Don't you have to decorate, or have you done that already?

Just trying to imagine you with a duster and a mop! No, I'm not making fun of you, I think you're very brave.
Take a deep breath. Christmas is getting nearer every second.

I feel the same way about housecleaning....and yard work.

If we could afford it, I would hire out for both!

I can't believe there's only a few days left before Christmas. I'm so glad your boys will all be there.

Wishing you all a very merry Christmas.

Hey, Lou...our home team is the Kansas City Chiefs, so while I feel bad for ya...I think you should know that it could be a lot worse.

Mrs F with 4: Yeah. Around here 'bottoming' is considered obscene.

Audubon Ron: Ah yes. Hoovering is my life.

Moneythoughts: We've done our decorating. Outside. Now comes inside.

Emily: Right you are.

Vikki: So, my Dear woman, are you.

Loraine: I have not seen that movie - but I will.

Ji: Thank you, Ji.

Jientje: Yes. It is.

Momisodes: And the same to you, Sandy - a Very Merry Christmas.

Oh my goodness. As I read this I can't wait until you have a grandchild : ) I know you will love the little child so much : ) I am glad you love your sons so much. I think they have learned a lot from you and how you live your life. You are a blessing to many. I could tell the very first time I ever visited here.
