Because of that, I learned a few things:
McDonald's coffee will freeze almost instantly if you spill it on the ground when it's dark and only 17 degrees.
I don't bounce so good anymore.
There was a time when I could do a good tuck and roll. Apparently, all muscle memory of that process has been lost.
Blueberry Pastry Bread squishes flat as a pancake really easily. Once squished flat, it is no longer suitable for eating. It's a presentation thing and has nothing to do with whether or not it's actually edible.
McDonald's Breakfast Burrito will survive almost any tragedy - unlike Blueberry Pastry Bread.
Walking across uneven surfaces, in the dark, with your hands full, is not the smartest thing you can do when you have lost all tuck and roll muscle memory. (So test your tuck and roll - so you know.)
Tylenol 3 (with codeine) is
You should keep extra Tylenol handy as you work your way through the day. But not Tylenol 3. Save that stuff for later.
Celebrex is good stuff, too. Reduces inflammation.
I am good - and getting better. I am sore - and sudden movements can be an experience.
I had no idea how many times a day I burp. I know now. I never knew what muscles were involved with burping before.
I am afraid I'm going to sneeze before I'm ready.
I'm better today than I was yesterday - and I'll be better yet, tomorrow.
I love you guys. Thank you for your well wishes.

I'm glad you're feeling better. I'd give you a hug, but that would be too painful right now, would it? Take care, love you too!

So glad you're feeling/getting better. Frozen coffee gives new meaning to black ice, huh?
I'd have eaten the blueberry pastry bread, no matter how awful it looks.
Awww, I'm sending gentle hugs that you get well soon. Let Annie coddle you & treat you like a king!
Happy New year, my friend, and thank you for being you!
xo
Fucking pavement. Why's it gotta be such a douche?
Happy New Year! Hope it's less painful than last night.
Oh you poor thing! I'm so sorry to hear about your mishap! I hope you feel better soon! No sneezes - fingers crossed!
You got one day left. This could be your very last AR comment. AR will cease verifying words in comments effect 0'one-hundred hours January 1.
At ease.
Mmmm squished blueberry pastry bread....
:)
DEFINITELY don't sneeze before you're ready!
Happy New Year!
Man, you're getting too old for this shit. I sure hope you have a better 2010. New decade for all of us.
Take care and be well.
Oh, geez. That sounds really bad. I hope you didn't get a lot of ribbing from your co-workers. Glad you're doing better. What is Blueberry Pastry Bread?
Well, you ended the year with a crash. Poor Lou! Nothing broken, I hope. Sending gentle hugs... or no, sort of cautious pats an the shoulder? And a New Year's kiss!
Dearest Lou,
forgive me......but am laughing so hard I CRY. Where is this coming from. So very happy your alright but for a minute actually considered doing the drop, tuck n roll just to check to see if all is lost for moi as well. Dearheart...hopefully the days have been good to you and the soreness has eased. Now, get up...go outside and see if you can see that BLUE MOON.
Will wait here in the tucknroll position in case you need a buffer on this trip!
Happy NEW YEAR to you and yours you make me belly laugh with your burp count.
I'm glad to hear you're a little better today. I've fallen twice within the last 10 days (fortunately only my pride was injured)...meeting the pavement is simply not fun.
Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year, Lou!
sharing is caring,
thank you for the thoughtful thoughts.

welcome.
Aw, Lou! I'm sorry. Planned pain is no fun, but unplanned altercations with the asphalt is not fun.
May your discovery of what muscles are involved in various bodily processes be a brief one.

Oh NO! I hope you're okay and on the mend very soon.
As someone who seems to make a habit of at least once a year landing on my bum and scraping my back, I can sympathize. I'm so sorry your in a bit of pain dear friend. Relieved your taking Tylenol and not Motrin or Midol for inflammation. Apparently those last two tend to thin your blood.
Hope your feeling well soon. Watch those ankle grabbing walkways, they're insidious. (Hugs)Indigo
Oh Lou! I am so sorry that you are in pain for the new year. As we get older, our bodies don't take kindly to surprise bouncings & will make us stay put as long as possible before it will let us get up. Keep resting & taking the pain meds. I hope you're feeling better soon. Yes, be careful of any bodily functions as they can be quite painful. (((HUGS)))
Hang in there. I know you are such a trooper. Definitely keep yourself comfortable, however it may be :)
