Snapping Sunday

Jientje arrived Saturday morning, as planned. Right time. Right place.

We had breakfast at Egglectic Cafe in Rolling Meadows and then we drove downtown and took pictures along the lakefront. There is little that is prettier than the lakefront early on a sunny morning.

Afterwards, we parked near the Sheraton, where BlogHer was held, and we walked. And walked. And walked - all the while taking picture. Many, many pictures.

By the time I dropped her off at her hotel at 5:30 last evening, I was toast. TOAST I tell you. It's over 40 miles from downtown Chicago to my home, and it was tough staying awake on the drive home. Good news is, though, that by the time I got home, #3 Son's temp was down to under 100 - so maybe he's coming out the other side of his flu.

I WAS going to post pictures last night. (Actually, I had intended to post pictures during the day - but it didn't work out.) But I was really fried when I got home. I farmed a little (SOMEbody STOP ME!!!), wrote this post, and went to bed. In fact, I'm sleeping right now. Unless, of course, it's after 5am - in which case, I'm awake, I'm awake.

And I'm out taking pictures with Jientje.

If the weather up there is anything like the weather down here, you have some beautiful weather for this time of year. You need to tell her it isn't this nice every year. Sorry I can't make it up to join you all, but I will be happy to see your fun through your pictures.

Welcome to the Mid-west Jientje!!!

Farmville IS addictive. Again, with me, it was/is Yoville. Maybe we should start a support group. Either that, or find another game to play on FB. ;)

Moneythoughts: Saturday was great - Sunday was cloudy and colder.

Tara R: We had a great outing. And her husband came Sunday morning and I got to meet him.

Nicole: He's getting better - and I know, Darlin'. I know.

Hyphen Mama: Manana.

Heather: But I'm level 28!!!

Joyce-Anne: Right. Just what we need - another FB game.

Loraine: And it WAS a good time.

Isn't that the worst when you have to drive somewhere and your eyes feel like they are going to close and fall asleep! Glad you are safe and so glad your son is better!

Oh I am so glad to hear she arrived as planned. I'm so sorry to hear your son has the flu! I feel your pain. Which is why I've been gone all week from the computer.

I hope he's feeling better and that you've all avoided the illness too!
