Under Control - Finally

Okay - so I'm getting the Farmville addiction under control and I'm also getting caught up on the miseries caused by the 'power out' over the weekend - all of which has taken some time and taken me away from my normal routine. Oh - and Farmville? What you do is grow crops that take two or three days to 'mature' - so you don't have to hang out on your farm.

As I write this (Monday evening for Tuesday posting) I have finished my labors for the day. The News is on - and I haven't visited blogs nor have I finished this post. I imagine that I'm going to have to MAAR and just move on - there's NO WAY I'm going to be able to catch up with my Reader. Of course, it hasn't ALL been work related - and between tasks, I admit to 'Farming'. But, like I said, I have found a way to manage it, so that long term crops and so on get me time to go back and do other 'stuff' - like visiting YOU, for example.

Farmville IS fun - which is part of the problem. But it is controllable fun.

And we've got it under control.

Now I've got to go finish my spreadsheet I'm using to determine the best ROI (Return On Investment) for crops, animals and trees.

Hi, my name is Lou and I'm a Farmville addict.

Hi, Lou!

A spreadsheet? You're kidding, right? :-)

@ Ree: I don't think so. He's not kidding.
@ Lou: Ohhhh boy!! I warned you. I've seen it happen. Hit MAAR and play Farmville? You're kidding? Right?

Can you get a subsidy from the Department of Agriculture for not growing crops? Now that would make it interesting! Agra-business, now we're talking big money. You could then try to corner the market on a commodity or two.

I have a spread sheet too for real. Listed all the crops when they mature what it cost to plant and what the return on yeild. Also listed animals and trees when they mature and return on produce. I'm way to into this --- because after all that math I just plant and visit. Still don't think I have a handle on the fertilizer bit though.

Wow. Sounds like you're getting more than knee deep into this. I'm glad you're enjoying it though.

I really need to MAAR, too. I think my reader is on the verge of explosion.

Yesterday, I went and removed ALL Farmville, Fishtank, Mafia Wars, etc. applications from my facebook page. Hello? "Janet has cleaned her fishtank"?? Remember I deleted facebook once, I was THIS CLOSE to deleting everyone again, and then I figured out that you CAN hide the applications. Whew!

I guess some people feel this way about scrabble... Wanna play scrabble, Lou?

You are too funny. I know several people that are addicts! I have managed to keep away - can't afford another time-waster! :)

Uh huh, as long as it's under control (winks). (Hugs) Indigo

So, farmville is under control and yet you're using a spreadsheet to determine the best ROI. Something just doesn't seem kosher here.

Not a farmville person. But 90% of the people I know love it, so you're in good company!

Audubon Ron Are you on Facebook?

Ree: No. Doesn't everyone?

Jientje: Yes. I'm kidding.

Moneythoughts: There ya go. How to make money in Farmville.

Patsy: You have a humungous farm.

Momisodes: It's very .... liberating.

Nan: Yes. Anytime.

Calicobebop: Me either. Thanks, LM!!

Indigo: *wink* right back.

Joyce-Anne: Kosher? WHO'S not kosher?

Loraine: Send 'em my way - I need neighbors!!

I hardly even open Facebook anymore, even though I don't do FB apps. Twitter is my time suck. My reader overfloweth. But? I came by to give you some loves.

That is EXACTLY why I cannot get involved with FB and Farmville. Mr Hyphen and I had a discussion over the weekend about Farmville and I'm SO OCD that I'd be making spreadsheets and charts, too! That, in lieu of important things like teaching Mack that HE MUST learn his shapes and colors and ABCs. UGH.

Yeah, I can't do Farmville or Mafia Wars. Anytime those invites come up, I hide them. TIME SUCKERS!!!!

Get back when you can! :)
