On a Sunday

Not ALL impressive sky is in Tasmania. Some of it lives in Iowa, where my friend Janet lives.

I did some work, yesterday, in the computer room at the office. Rearranging some of the equipment so it was better placed, in safer areas, where it would be less likely to be victim of 'accidental' downtime and power outages. In doing so, I've made a trade. Time on Saturday for a day, on Monday, to be with my son as he has his four wisdom teeth extracted. When he comes out of the surgery, I'll take him home and put him to bed and play nursemaid for a day. He is, after all, my son, and if I could, I would spare him the pain I know he's going to be going through in the next few days. But I can't. The least I can do is be there for him, with him, when he comes home.

This promises to be a busy week. I will be guest posting on Friday, I've drafted a guest post for another site who, at this time, has not informed me as to when my post will be up, and I've got some serious catch up work to do on 'One Knight's Story'.

But through it all ....

Ndinombethe.

What a breath taking sky, indeed!
And you've done good, taking some time off to be with your son. He IS going to need you, the poor guy.

A busy week ahead with a day off in it ( or two? we have May 1st as a holiday, not you?)it will be Friday again before you know it!

Beautiful sky.
I remember having my wisdom teeth pulled- make sure he has a notepad and a pen at all times- and the remote!!

So they have beautiful skies in Iowa too. Wow. It's nice to know God gave us ALL beauty to enjoy no matter where we are.

Your son and you will be in my prayers tomorrow. I'm sure it will all go well, but he is a lucky boy to have his Dad for a nursemaid for that post op experience.

It's so hard, isn't it, when our children (who aren't children anymore) aren't feeling their best? Especially when they're not children anymore.

Just don't do what I did when Shortman had his wisdom teeth extracted. I passed out while changing his gauze pads. It wasn't pretty. ;-)

Beautiful sky shot. Whenever we're vacationing, I try to remember to look up--you never know what beauty you'll see up there.

Jientje: May 1st is not a holiday in the US. May 31st is. When it's a Monday. Which is a whole long story in itself.

Nicole: Thank you, Nicole. I'll tell him.

Myst_72: I would love to, Gina. If for no other reason than to meet you.

Moneythoughts: Thank you, Fred.

Tara R: Thank you, Tara.

Shadow: No 'WOW' about it. You would, too.

Loraine: He will have his computer, game controller and TV remote, all within easy reach.

Patsy: Thank you, Patsy. You're a sweetheart.

Ree: I won't faint. My butt may pucker, but I'll stand up.

Joyce-Anne: Always, always, always look up.

What a gorgeous picture, Lou!

Good luck with your son's wisdom teeth. BTW, I've always wondered why they're called "wisdom" teeth, and if they're so wise, why do we all remove them?!
