Sounds of Silence

This has been a rare evening of rum, music and relaxation. Not quite stiff - just a little buzzed. And I bought some music on iTunes - 'Sounds of Silence' by Simon & Garfunkel.

I'm beginning to see light at the end of the tunnel. The work load is beginning to lighten and soon I'll be able to get back to the things I love to do - reading and commenting. Maybe even some painting. And some photography. And some writing. I have three paintings promised and two stories in the works. I guess I could be really busy if I wanted to - and I guess I do. And I really do miss photography. I have done so little, recently, and truth be told, it's photography that got me started down this path to begin with - this painting, blogging, writing path. I guess I owe a lot to my small collection of cameras. They have, after all, led me to all of you.

"As I go, I am wearing you." Taught to me by one of you.

Ndinombethe.

That reminds me of the wall in the hall of our former house. Guests and friends used to write a message on it, and one of the messages said:
" La photo, ça mène à tout". Photography leads to everything.
I think I'll have to agree.
Blogging has brought photography into my life, and befriended people from all over the world. Isn't that wonderful?

PS. You must have been reading my mind. I was wondering about that painting.

GREAT song. My fave is still the only living boy in NY, but that is great.

I know its technical, but exactly do you do for a living?

I love that song.
I finally sort of get a little break- from school anyway. But not from anything else.
-sigh-

I'm a closet S&G fan too... 'Bridge over Troubled Waters...' one of my all time favs. Glad to hear work is lightening up and that you'll be back at full speed soon.

I'm very happy to hear you see a light at the end of that long tunnel you've been trying to get out of. I've always enjoyed S&G too.

The Sound of Silence is a classic and one I enjoy. I'm really going to have to get an ipod and get a collection of songs just for me to enjoy. But I'm going to have to have you remind me of all the songs and artist I love. Each time you mention a song I go, "I know that song and love it or danced to it or just plain enjoyed it -- why haven't I thought of it in so long." Oh yea, I don't have an ipod!!!
Maybe I should drop a hint to the daughters -- Mother's Day and my
60th birthday are coming very close together in May.
My, what a ramble your short post has created.
Love you Lou.

Joyce-Anne: Thank you, Joyce-Anne.

Patsy: I love you, too, Patsy - and YES!!! You need an Pod!!

Raino: Ahhhh. Yes.

My roommate and I used to play S & G when we were getting ready to sleep. SofS was my favorite.
