Tuesday night I met Ree, from The Hotfessional. A while back, I met Employee No 3699, from The Random Memorandum. While I was in Trinidad, I met Tash, from Fabric of Life(currently on Hiatus), Nan, from Things I've Found In Pockets, Girlblue from Rantings and Ramblings, and Sharon from Island Musings. Within the next few days, I am going to meet with Cat, of Wait. What? and Maggie of Maggie's Mind. My experience, so far, has been that bloggers, in person, are just the same as they are on the web. Meeting them turns out to be just as easy and as comfortable as you always hoped it would be. I KNOW that meeting Cat and Maggie is going to be just as rewarding as it has been, meeting all those other bloggers. I would encourage everybody to do the same, as they can. Get out and meet up. Just make sure you arrange meetings with people you've come to know, and like. Someone you've only been aware of for a few days is NOT anyone you know. A little caution never hurt anybody.
"One Knight' Story" will continue tomorrow.

It feels as if you know each other already, and you do. In fact you get to know your blogger friends better than the neighbour next door, don't you! Have fun meeting Maggie, she's one of the people I would love to meet too someday!
you are creative and smart and a man, wow.... (just kidding!!!!!!) i'll let you know when my trip to america's up...
I met Maggie in Nashville last weekend. She rocks! :)
Yes, it is nice to meet people that you blog with, but if you can't, unless you're wanting to get into a physical relationship with that person, there is a beauty in just being able to connect with people without the body being involved. The world is getting smaller all the time, especially if you have the means to travel a lot, but travel can be back in time too, where the physical body is long gone.
I think it is great that Lou has been able to meet so many bloggers, and I would love to meet Lou too, but if it never happens, I hope I will be OK with that too.
You do get around don't you. I would love to meet up with some of my blogging buddies, but everybody lives so far away.
Have fun, and tell Maggie hi.
i agree... everyone i have met is just as i imagined they would be.
have fun on your next meet up!
Lou I am looking forward to it! My first real life blogger buddy meet up!
Cat
I think it's awesome you've gotten to meet all of these women from blogging. I have no doubt the people I befriend on here are exactly like I expect them to be. I think no matter how some may try not to allow it, our personalities leak out onto the page before us. (Hugs)Indigo
You are correct to include the fact that someone should exercise caution when actually meeting a person from the internet. Unfortunately, there are people *out there* who want to hurt others. It's always a good thing to share a reminder like that.
Meanwhile, I'm glad you are getting to meet all of these people. We'll have to come up with our own version of Blogher...
So I was your first?!?
Tell them I said HI!
Jientje: I look forward to each and every one.
Shadow: You make sure you do that. And yes, i AM a man - in touch with his feminine side.
Rebecca: I know - I saw pictures.
Moneythoughts: Fred - you and I will meet, someday. That is a promise.
Eric S: I will tell Maggie 'Hi'.
Ohmommy: I will, and I'm so looking forward to July.
Cat: And I am looking forward to meeting you, as well.
Indigo: Yes, I have found everyone to be exactly as they are in the blogs.
Joyce-Anne: Only to make sure that you 'know' the person you're meeting up with - but yes, our own version of blogHer is a good idea.
Employee: Yes, ma'am. You got my ... well, you wuz the first.
Nan: I will, I will.
I don't know why, but I am so nervous and self-conscious before meeting people I've met online.
However, I REALLY wish we could meet.
There are several bloggers I would love to meet. Problem is, when I have the time, I don't have the money. When I have the money, I don't have the time. Right now, I'm arranging to meet up with family while my father is still alive.
I know! I can't wait to get to Tasmania and meet some friends.
You know Lou - I think you have started a new socail network of sorts a face to cafe blogger community if you will!
