Friday Haiku and an Announcement

Haiku Friday

The timing is right
Time to bring it to an end
It's been long enough

The story goes on
longer than I thought it would
his story has legs

But the Kid is dead
And now his story is told
It is time to stop

Two episodes left
both to be done in this week
Tuesday is the first.

I didn't start out to write a Haiku that was an announcement. It just happened that way. But that IS the announcement. The next episode is going to be Tuesday - actually, as the story goes, the LAST episode is Tuesday. Thursday is the "Epilogue", a chapter that takes place in 2008. You DON'T want to miss it. That will be the end of the story of the Kid. I realy hate to see it end.

We all want to know how it ends, but we don't really want to see it end... How true!

Aw. Exactly what jientje said. But every good author should know when a story is truly the end.

Linda~

Ok, I know the story has to end. I've accepted that. I still wonder whether or not (in the future) you'll write another serial for your readers. Judging from the comments the past two days, I think we'd love to read more of your work.

I was wondering just as joyce-anne will there be another story -- does Lou have another story to tell us or will he turn all his creative efforts to the paint brush now? I guess it is *stay tuned to find out* time isn't it.
Have a good weekend, friend. :)

The Kid doesn't have to die. This is a story. He could have lived. Things can happen in a story and they don't have to be metaphysical.

Hate to see it end too.

I missed too many to catch up, but all I have to say is, well done mate, that was a huge undertaking. Great haiku too.

Nobody wants it to end, but two in one week oh yeah. Then perhaps we can convince Lou to start another, please, pretty please.

Whenever I get a book that I find out later is part of a series, I stop reading it, go back to the beginning book and start over. Since I missed most of the previous parts, I am waiting until the end, then I will find a nice quiet spot and read them all from beginning to end, like a good book should be read. I can't wait. ♥

I hate to see it end as well. But with an end means a new beginning for another story, right? :)

Of course it has to end. It always does. We'll miss the Kid.

What will your next story be?
I'll bet you have an idea!

It should not be the end because you should be submitting the kid to magazines everywhere. And, you should be writing a haiku telling us what you next story will be about. There better be a next story. Trust me. You do not want me to track you down to shake the prose out of your pockets. I will, ya know.

Maybe your next character can be a little girl in a rural area? Oh, wait, that was Anne of Green Gables. My bad.

Oh no - sniff - that's like a good book ending too soon :(

I agree with Conversemomma though :)!
You should!

I look forward the to the next episodes and that we get it so soon, but not that the one after that will be the very last. I get it that it has to end at some point. I'll act like a grown up about it and stop with the tantrum.
