31 times 365 plus 7

Equals the number of days that Annie and I have been married, as of today. Eleven thousand, three hundred, twenty two. That's a LOT of days. That means, on average, I have gained a .098 ounces per day since we've been married. I wonder if I can lose .098 ounces a day for the next 11,322 days and get back to 165 lbs.? I can just see it now. There I am, age 93, 165 lbs. of rompin', stompin', horny bastard. But wrinkled. Very wrinkled. Use your imagination. Heh, heh.

We aren't doing anything really special - at least not today. Maybe this weekend. Which will give us a little time to recover. Use your imagination. Heh, heh.

In the meantime, we are just going to hang out together for a while, so I will return to full time posting duties tomorrow.

You’re way to cute, Lou. Annie hit gold when she found you. We just may need to talk to her about becoming Mormon.

Not doing that exercise in math. At least you can spread it out over 31 years. Spread over 8 years, I'll just be super depressed. Have fun hangin'. ; )

This is a side comment based on your book selection in your profile. "The Silmarillion" - it was a tad painful for me after reading the other Tolkien books. It felt very textbook-y.

OK - Just felt I need to document my very simple feelings on that book.

myst_72: Thanks. We did. ;>)

Redchair: Aw, Vikki. I really hope we're all going to enjoy living in Utah.

Nan: Just give it a big Y E S !!!

ed: Thank you, sir.

Eve Grey: Thank you, pretty lady.

AFF: Thank you, other pretty lady.

Hyphen Mama: I don't get it. Actually, in this case, I did. Get it?

Alice: Actually, I made a mistake in the math. There were 8 Leap Year Days since we got married, not 7.

Alice: Yes, 'The Silmarillion' is a hard read, but it needs to be read AFTER one reads 'The Hobbit' and 'The Lord Of The Rings' with the understanding that Tolkein used the stuff of that book as his 'history' on which he based the the other books. Tolkein was a philologist, but his lifelong lament was that the languages he studied were based in cultures with a rich history of folk tales and legends that reached back into the dim mists of pre-history. England had, in his estimation, no such richness underpinning its language. So he undertook to invent one. 'The Silmarillion' is his 'real' invention, the other books are just fairy tales based on his invented history.

As I get older, I find that I like to think less when reading. Or maybe it's just that I can't concentrate while there's whining in the background.

But I do remember enjoying the tale of Beren & Luthien.
