I find myself on the horns of a dilemma. The lovely, kind and gracious Vikki North of Red Chair Gallery has given me an award which I have to pass on to five people. Only five.
This particular award sets up like this: "This award was created for, and to be given to, bloggers who inspire others with their creativity and their talents, also for contributing to the blogging world in whatever medium. When you receive this award it is considered a "special honor". Once you have received this award, you are to pass it on to 5 others."
So this is my dilemma: how do I choose but five of the people I have found out here who inspire me, because so many of you do, with your creativity and your talent, in making the everyday problems and issues you face the stuff of funny and interesting pieces of very capable literature. And the contributions you make to the group ability to face those issues with character and elan, because no one can do these things alone and out here we have all found each other and we all understand.
So how do I pick five?
Vikki said this in her response to comments on the post in which she gave out the awards: "I guarantee you’ll feel like your making ‘Sophie’s Choice’. That’s the downside. You’ll see. Five is not enough. You’re not going to thank me when you’re put to task, I assure you." And she is right. This is NOT easy. Not easy, at all. This would have been so much easier if it didn't come with the requirement to pass it along to a specific number of people. I would like to give to you all, but that against 'the rules'. And the rules are not mine to change.
So. Tomorrow I am going to give out the award as I am supposed to do. And it ain't going to be easy. Because I love you all.
